Culture of Upazilla

In the war of liberation there was a fierce battle in Parashuram. The western part of Parshuram was under Sector 1 and the eastern part under Sector 2. Rafiqul Islam was the Sector Commander of Sector 1 and Major Haider was the Sector Commander of Sector 2. The number of martyrs in the war of liberation is given below:

 

Civilian martyrs: 6 people

 

Army martyrs: 6 people

 

Rifle (current BGB) martyrs: 2 people

 

Police martyrs: 1 person

 

There is 1 slaughter land in Malipathar of Parashuram. On November 7, Parashuram was released.
