Background of Parshuram upazila

Creation of Thana: GOVT NOTIFICATION NO- PUBLISHAT IN CALCUTTA GAZED G.O NO- 2230. DT - 07-05- 1879 Parshuram Thana was formed as per Eng.


Later the thana was turned into an upazila. 02/07/1983 Eng Local Govt. Division Section- viii. Notification No-S-viii / 2E-4/83/256 DT. According to 22.06.1983.

It is bounded on the north by India, on the east by India, on the west by India, on the south by Fulgazi Upazila.

Naming of the upazila: Formerly there was a rich Hindu named Parashuram Chowdhury in Baurpathar village of this upazila. This upazila was named Parshuram Upazila after him.

Geographical Introduction: 91 ° 237 and 91 ° 318 between 23 ° 106 and 23 ° 18 of north latitude

Ten places: a) Shamsher Gazi Dighi, Satkuchia, Boxmahmud UP.

                   B) Jangli Shah Mazar, North Guthuma, Parashuram Municipality.

                   C) Abdullah Shah Mazar, North Guthum, Parashuram Municipality.

                   D) Balonia Land Port, Baurkhuma, Parashuram Municipality.
